Mar 24, 2015 · Hello everyone, I am a level 4 paladin and I am having issues with following my oath. I'm assuming I am a bit confused with what my oath entails so advice or clarifications would be much appreciated. I understand that my oath binds me and from what I know my channel divinity -- vow of enmity -- is an ability I can use at most once until I do a short or long rest.
5th-Level: Paralysis is an off-switch for an enemy, but since your spell DC is low compared to a full spellcaster Hold Person is unrealiable. Misty Step is a great way to get around the battlefield, especially since it's a Bonus Action to cast.

Fail the save, and the foe is frightened, fixed in place. Make it, and movement is still halved. Vow of Enmity gives you advantage on attack rolls for a single target within 10′.
